According to me, There are very few movies which beautifully recreated the story from the book, or I can say better than the book. Movies only give you the surface story, you will never understand why the character is reacting or feeling this way. This is one of the reasons behind book based flop movies. Because books have more character details than a 2 hours movie, you can understand each character better and deeply ( If you’re a Reader).

If you’re busy and don’t have time to read books or not a book person at all, moreover don’t want to stress your brain to imagine every character and scenario then movies are a good option for you. Personally, I prefer t.v series on books rather than movies. Again, I like details that’s why I give preference to books over movies.
