A few months back mariyam narrated an incident where a man had blatantly asked her some hideous questions. In which reaction she said “Actress hu, prostitute nahi. (I’m an actress, not a prostitute) I’m sick of these proposals and I’ve tried whatever I could to make them stop but this is what I’m going to do now. It affects my mental health, it disturbs me that some people think this is what my business is. NO! I’m NOT FOR SALE!,” Also, she shared a screenshot of the conversation between her and the said man. Many other actresses like Armeena Rana and other celebrities’ also show support for her and said, we also faced the same situations

Now again Mariyam received a online harassment Message and she shared again to stop this as she appealed before for the actresses that now start to exposing them so this thing should stop. She shared a post on Instagram and said: “And again! The point of putting this up is because I truly want to put a stop to this. I don’t know who’s responsible for these morons to think this way and who’s entertaining them but no! Absolutely not! I and my esteemed co-actresses respectfully work for twelve hours (sometimes more) everyday and we refuse to tolerate this mentality. We come from educated backgrounds to make a name for ourselves, nobody and I mean NOT A SINGLE PERSON is allowed to disrespect us.” Actresses are not prostitutes!
