“If you want equality then go rob buses and gang-rape a man” said Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is one of the known Writer in the Pakistani entertainment industry, He wrote Pyare Afzal, Sadqy Tumhary, Mohabbat Tum Se Nafrat Hai, Mere Pass Tum Ho, Panjab Nahi Jao Gi and many more. He recently made his film directorial debut with Kaaf Kangana.
Khalil ur Rehman Qamar push the boat bit too much in the conversation with “Entertainment Pakistan” while discussing his view on feminism.
The show host questioned Khalil ur Rehman Qamar whats inspired him to wrote Mere Pass Tum Ho?
He replied I observed this problem in many couples (unfortunately) that when a married woman betrays her husband, she becomes fearless.
“Women shouldn’t get mad at this drama considering how they have insulted men”, He added.
“I don’t call every woman a woman, whether you like it or not… There’s only one thing that makes a woman beautiful and that’s “haya” (modesty) and “wafa”(loyalty). If you don’t have those, I call you non-women.”
Qamar said; If you all want to talk about equality please read the(آیات) verses that said a “man is superior to a woman” However, I will give them equal rights, but a little down below.
“Have you seen the news where a woman was kidnapped by five men? But have you ever heard of five women kidnapping a man?
Do that! If you want equality then do that.”I’ll know there’s equality if I hear about women robbing buses and gang-raping a man.” Said Qamar
The writer went a little too far with his misogynistic remarks. “Women don’t know their rights, they want a share of men’s rights, which they can never have,” he said, adding, rather strangely, that they will “never be allowed to wear shorts in the Subcontinent”.
Qamar also believes that it is never a man’s fault and it is the woman who tempts men into cheating on their wives. “A woman lures a man into an affair and it is the woman’s fault that she is ruining other people’s marriage.”
He also believes it is impossible for men to say no. “If a man is looking at you, then don’t respond. A man doesn’t have the ability to ignore, but a good woman definitely does,” he added.
Qamar’s statements have sparked backlash on social media, where men and women both want to boycott his work and are calling him a huge misogynist.
