Kabuli Pulao

Kabuli Pulao follows the story of Haji Mushtaq, an upright man from Lahore, and Barbeena, an Afghan girl in need. Haji Mushtaq, a 51-year-old Punjabi bachelor, leads a simple and straightforward life until he meets Barbeena. He goes to Mardan for a religious tour where he meets her brother during his stay in a mosque. Her brother asks if someone would be willing to marry her but would have to pay the brother for it. Haji Mushtaq tried to counsel her brother that he should not be asking for money to marry her. He finds out that the money is being asked for the operation of their other brother who lost the use of his legs. Haji Mushtaq lend the money without marrying Barbeena. However, Barbeena later insists on marrying him for the favour he did. Her brother also asks him to protect her by marrying her, as she is a widow and the brother of her deceased husband wants to marry her against her wishes.
Zard Patton Ka Bunn

This is the story of Meenu and Dr Nofil. Against societal norms, to dream and dare. As the path of Meenu is saddled with challenges, emerging from her own family, she embarks on a daring journey to pursue her ambitions for a greater cause against a conservative community where opportunities for women are scarce. The societal evil of child labour is also tied into this, whereby the villagers justify having more and more children since they are seen as earning members of the family instead of just what they are. The show is balanced with some well-executed light-hearted scenes too. Like Dr. Nofil has to climb a tree to get phone signals. Dr Nofil is posted to the village to run a hospital that isn’t functional when he arrives. Seeing no purpose in his stay, he decides to return to the city, only to be held back by Meenu who revives his conscience and reminds him of his responsibility to treat ailing villagers who’ve lived for years without access to proper healthcare. This is also where we see Meenu realising her feelings for Dr Nofil for the first time.
Mere Humsafar

Hala, a British-Pakistani girl, is left alone in Pakistan at a young age by her father, Nafees because his new European wife did not want to raise his daughter from a previous marriage. She was mistreated by her Uncle Raees and Aunt Shah Jahan. She grows up to be a naive teenager who is always scolded for no valid reason. The only comfort she has in the family is her grandmother. Raees and his wife Shah Jahan never let her talk to her father. ShahJahan’s Son Hamza, returns from Australia, and he does not like the behaviours of his parents towards Hala.

She is an ambitious, strong-headed, women rights activist studying at the same university as Hassan. Anaya and Hassan clash when she defeats him in an engineering model competition. Hassan insults her in response. She taunts Hassan about him being dependent on his father for everything while he hasn’t achieved anything by himself. Hassan is deeply influenced by her words and starts to make money through online jobs and starts to take public transport. Miraal began to see psychiatrist Dr Haris and fell in love with each other.
