The story of “My Lovely Liar” uncovers the hidden truth behind the sudden passing of Kim Do Ha’s ex-girlfriend Choi Eom Ji. Kim Do Ha who’s been wrongly accused of the crime has been in hiding because no one believes he is innocent and a woman named Mok Sol Hee, who cannot trust people easily because she has been gifted with an ability to see through and hear people’s lies and is able to know the truth. Recently, an unexpected BL (Boy Love) plot twist to the drama’s storyline has left viewers in a sudden shock towards nearing the end of the drama. 

In this episode indicated that the director of J Entertainment Cho Jae Chan turned himself in for killing Kim Do Ha’s ex-girlfriend. He claimed because he was in love with her and she left him with no choice he took this drastic step. But soon Detective Lee Kang Min became doubtful because the nature of Jae Chan’s story changed every time.

Detective Lee Kang Min became suspicious when Jae Chan’s story changed. In a record, he had said he burned Eom Ji’s clothes, and while speaking to him, he said he threw them in the ocean. So, in Episode 14, he enlisted Sol Hee’s help, who discovered that Jae Chan was lying about everything and was going along with a plan orchestrated by his older brother Cho Deuk Chan, the CEO of J Entertainment and best friend to Do Ha.

Sol Hee recalled all the previous interactions that happened with Deuk Chan and realized that all this while Deuk Chan had feelings for Do Han. When confronted, he confessed his liking for Do Ha only to know that Do Ha heard all about the tragic truth hidden from him for all these years.

Sol Hee confronted him. He confessed he liked Do Ha and begged her not to tell him, only for heartbroken Do Ha to walk in on the two. Seeing his best friend, the man he loved, find out the tragic truth about him, Deuk Chan began to have a panic attack and ran out, only to be caught by the police.

This sudden one-sided boy-love moment between the two is jaw-dropping for the audience, completely unexpected.
