After Priyanka Chopra now it’s Sonam Kapoor who expresses her “point of view” on Kashmir and it looks like Bollywood doesn’t understand what to say when it comes to talking about the Kashmir.
Sonam Kapoor is the latest B-town celeb to share her views on the issue. The Veere Di Wedding decided not to say much about it during an interview with BBC Asian Network.
Sonam stated, It’s heartbreaking to see where the situation has landed right now and I’m very patriotic. So I think for me now it’s better to keep quiet and let this pass because even this too shall pass.
Sonam Kapoor mention that she is not aware of the entire situation and added, “I think it’s very complicated and I don’t understand it as much because there is so much contrasting and contrary news everywhere, so I really don’t know what the truth is.”
Sharing that she would rather comment on the matter once she has a better understanding of the entire situation, Sonam also said, “I hope there is a peaceful way of working things out. I don’t know how that’s possible but I think there should be because it’s a beautiful place that I think has been under so much duress.”
Sonam Kapoor talked about her links to Pakistan and revealed:
“I am half Sindhi and half Peshawari. It’s heartbreaking to see part of my culture is something that I can’t explore as well because of that. My name is Sonam. I was named after my parents went to Kashmir shooting for Ram Lakhan and they decided to name me from there. I still haven’t been there since because of the unrest.”
Well, I hope Bollywood celebs will educate them selfs about current affairs before saying anything about wars and world affairs. (yes we are talking about you, Priyanka Chopra).
