Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel Twitter account suspended on April 16 after her series of disturbing tweets that seemed to encourage religious hatred, violence and promote Islamophobia.

Rangoli Chandel tweets were reported by Bollywood jewellery designer and Sussanne Khan’s sister Farah Khan Ali and filmmaker Reema Kagti.

Farah Khan Ali came out to explain her point in a long note on Twitter and emphasized that spewing hatred towards a community is unacceptable. Although she did quote about being a fan of Kangana, she wrote about how Rangoli was unfazed by people even if she was branded as Nazi for her views and asserted that using the word Nazi was totally inappropriate, hateful and against the law. Farah also stated that being a social activist Rangoli should be more responsible with her tweets.

Meanwhile Rangoli Chandel said, “Twitter is an American platform absolutely biased and anti India, you can make fun of Hindu Gods call Prime Minister and Home Minister terrorists but if you say anything about people pelting stones on health workers and Police forces they suspend your account, I have no desire of empowering any such platforms with my perspective and honest opinions, so I am not reviving my account, I was my sister’s spokesperson now watch out for her direct interviews, she is a huge star she has many ways of reaching out, a biased platform can be easily avoided.”
